Bangalore, Bendakalooru, Bengaluru, Garden City, Silicon city, Pub Capital - What shapes the identity of a city? Who gets to frame the narrative? Name, Place, animal, thing is a project proposing alternative histories and Microhistories to build a new narrative of the city of Bangalore through arts based research and intervention. This project has been imagined as an installation using printed matter and sound.

Artist Bio: Jayasimha C is a printmaker who holds a Masters degree in printmaking from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, co-founder and manager of "Atelier Prati", the only independently run printmaking studio in Bangalore. He teaches printmaking at Srishti and has worked with various art institutions as art director and designer. He facilitates printmaking workshops and explores themes such as time, memory and influences through his work.
