Interlude

Dust Thou Art

This project aims to explore the relationship between life and soil using aesthetic embodiment and embodied metaphors. Students will investigate soil from various perspectives and use it as a creative medium. They'll conduct artistic and contemplative research, using primary and secondary data to examine soil as a metaphor for life, death, self, creativity and belonging, while also exploring its broader themes. The use of embodied metaphors will help students understand how literal and abstract meanings become intertwined. The project aims to develop new understanding of ecosophy and eco art through the students' artistic research trajectories and outputs.
